A feature based on a Pulitzer Prize-winning novel is looking for two young actors to be photo doubles in an upcoming New York City shoot.
“The Goldfinch” is based on the novel of the same name by author Donna Tartt and follows the story of Theodore Decker, a young boy who survives a terrorist bombing at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in which his mother dies. In the chaos, Theo takes with him a small painting his mother loved named “The Goldfinch,” which he carries with him throughout the trials and tribulations of his life.
The production is seeking two young actors to serve as photo doubles in the film. A female actor, aged 9–14, with a height of 4’8”–4’10” and with blonde or light brown hair, as well as a male actor in the same age range, 4’2”–4’4”, are currently needed.
“The Goldfinch” will shoot in NYC Feb. 20–22 and March 7, with possible additional dates. Professional pay will be provided.
