We’re just weeks away from summer—get a jump start on the season with a major role in the upcoming feature “Green Summer.”
The film, a 90s coming-of-age drama, will follow a kid whose sense of identity and lifelong sinus problems are interrupted by his relationship with a disabled boy.
A young South Asian or Middle Eastern male actor, aged 12–16, is wanted to play the lead role of Hami, a disabled Middle Eastern immigrant who uses a wheelchair and perceives communication but does not speak. Working knowledge of Arabic is helpful but not required.
There are also two supporting roles, one for a male actor in his mid-30s and one for a female actor in her late 40s or early 50s. Fluency in Arabic is preferred or required for these two roles.
“Green Summer” will rehearse in early August and shoots from Aug. 15–Sept. 1 in Chicago, Illinois. Actors in the lead roles will be paid $450, and credit, a copy, and meals will be provided for minor roles.
