The upcoming feature film “August” is casting its lead.
“August” will follow the titular character, a disabled teen who goes on a mystical adventure after she finds an unexpected friend in a cave near her house.
A disabled young female actor, aged 14–25, is wanted to play August. The company is specifically looking for an amputee or somebody who has suffered a debilitating spinal injury in order to portray the character accurately.
The film will shoot in June in Atlanta, Georgia. The actor playing August will receive $150 per day, plus meals.
